Have you missed me?

Soooo, I'm back! Yeah, after many many days, many weeks -and more than a month!- I'm writing on this blog again. The reasons why I haven't updated this page for so long are that school has kept me very busy, you know, loads and loads of exams to sit for; and another reason is that my computer got damaged and my parents had to buy me a new one. So I've been with no computer -no internet! D:- for weeks. Fortunately I recovered most of my files, documents, music and pictures so it wasn't so bad x)

I don't have much to say. I'm a little more relaxed now because I passed most of my subjects at school. I feel freer, this year is almost over and after all it's been a year that I won't ever forget.

KOL new album has leaked online. Wow.

I'm thinking about rearranging this blog. Needs some colors don't you think? But I'm still not sure, I feel safe in the dark.
Anyway, I've just read Come Around Sundown, new Kings of Leon album, has leaked online! that means that if you search on Google 'come around sundown kings of leon download', you'll find file-sharing websites to download it!
Such a bad thing for the band 'cause there are still two weeks ahead to the release. But I'll buy it anyway. Now I'm listening to The End and sounds ok. It's the first track so I can't say anything about the album yet.

I just have to say this is amazing. I love it. Polaroid effect ♥. I never thought I'd see Tim Rice-Oxley and Ronnie Vannucci together in a video. Ronnie is alive AND playing the guitar!!

She loves making handicrafts.

I had no classes during the two last weeks so I had to do something in my freetime. If you didn't know, I love making handicrafts. I love origami / paper folding, crocheting, knitting, painting with watercolors... I love doing all those things. So I remembered once I wanted to learn how to make macrame jewelry. FYI macrame is the art of tying knots in patterns or a technique for weaving and knotting cords.
And well, here there are some photos of some of the things that I've made.

I love this flower, it's one of the most beautiful things I've made.

New: Flamingo - Brandon Flowers | Science & Faith - The Script.

 

 

I didn't expect I'd love Brandon's new/first album, Flamingo. I mean, I had been so accustumed to The Killers style/sound that I thought this was going to ruin it all. But it didn't! Surprisingly it didn't. In fact, I can't stop singing to songs like Magdalena (yep, Brandon wrote it to me), I Came Here to Get Over You, Was It Something I Said?, The Clock Was Ticking, Only The Young (I think this is my favourite one) and Hard Enough. Very nice album really. Can't wait to buy it! (It hasn't been released in Argentina yet :\)

Another new album that I really like is Science & Faith, The Script new album. They keep the style of the first album. My favourite songs are For The First Time, Science & Faith, Walk Away, If You Ever Come Back and Long Gone and Moved On. Also waiting for it to be released.

Mountains beyond mountains - Back in the city!

I'm back in Buenos Aires! Back to "reality". Bleagh. But this past week has been quite fun (if not particularly educational after all). I've been in the province of Jujuy in the north of Argentina for six days!
So, six days is a long time, and there's no way I'll be able to fit in/remember everything we did, but I'll give it a go.
Anyways, all 90 students and staff met up at school early Thursday morning to head off. Everybody loaded the massive piles of luggage onto a double-decker omnibus and we left.
We had a nice (please, notice my sarcasm) thirty one hour ride, most of which I spent listening to music and reading a magazine I had bought just a little before we set off and finally, after 1609 km we arrived in the province of Jujuy.
The hotel was located in the town of Tilcara. It's a cute little village, really. Few people but some beautiful scenery. We stayed in there in little cabañas all arranged for us.
The first day in Tilcara we did nothing. I mean, as we arrived late we put off the tour we were supposed to have. So we make the most of the situation and took a shower, arranged our stuff, took some photographs, etc. (I have lots of photos to show you, hope you don't get bored lol.)
The next days were exhausting, really really exhausting. We spent the whole four days walking and walking through mountains and valleys, we almost got burnt by the sun, water didn't seem enough... It was also much more difficult to breathe at that altitude: I got winded just from climbing up a few meters! We ended up knackered.
But I think the refuge day was the worst of all. The place was freezing. Icy wind fail. It was a pretty view but we were too busy huddling together for warmth to be able to appreciate it.

But anyway, you know? I had nice days after all, culture in there is very interesting, the landscape is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen...
Yeah, I had been there thousands of times but this one was very different, it made me appreciate a lot those places.

Ok, so since this has been super long, I'm just going to end this blog post. Believe me when I say this took me a long time to write, my English is not so good and I've put in a lot of effort so if there's a mistake, please correct me.

Road Trippin'

You may ask, what about me? 'Cause I've been posting a lot about music. Well actually, music is a big part of my life so... And also my life ain't so exciting... I mean, at this moment I'm alone at home, bored, I'm talking to nobody (to the trees), listening to music, counting down the days (not for the trip), haven't had lunch yet...

For those who want to know, I'm travelling this Thursday at 11 am.
I won't be posting for a week. I'll try to tweet from my phone but not sure yet.

I don't usually cry to songs but this one is the exception. I remember the first time I listened to it (watching Elizabethtown), the tears came streaming down my face and I didn't know why.
The movie version is shorter but the whole song is lovely anyway. The last minute is which makes me cry.
It's a beautiful song and I've already put it on my playlist for the trip.

So White Lies played a new song at V Fest. It sounds pretty good but I'd like to listen to the studio version. Trying to write the lyrics down, this is what I understood at this moment:

Yep, only that. My English sucks, I know. But it's also Harry's fault, he's got a strange English accent and he's bass so everything makes it hard.

Como verán estuve escribiendo mucho en inglés ultimamente. Realmente me encanta escribir en ese idioma y además es como un reto que me hago, trato de usar expresiones y no escribir traduciendo. Creo que seguiré asi, es divertido x).
No tengo muchas cosas interesantes que contar. Tengo ganas de ver "500 days of summer" que me la recomendaron; no tengo absolutamente nada para hacer para el colegio (no hay tarea, exámenes, TPs, nada); extraño mucho a mi novio u.u (sí, sé que estás leyendo esto); en dos semanas me voy de viaje de estudio por una semana a Tilcara, Jujuy y para ser sincera no me entusiasma casi nada. Estaré lejos de todo y de todos (1609 km! u.u), es un lugar que conozco como a la palma de mi mano, etc. Lo unico que capaz me agrada un poco es que voy a poder tomar muuuuchas fotos al paisaje, a la fauna y flora del lugar (eso si que es hermoso) y sacar así mi lado fotográfico x).
Anyway, I'm starving so I'm off, I'm gonna find some food. Idk, cookies, popcorn, whatever (Yep, the english girl is back).

Though I said I didn't like last Keane album very much, I'd really love to be in one of their concerts now. Today I've seen them performing live on the Mile High Music Festival (thanks to a live streaming), and they were great, absolutely great. Tom's new look... at first I didn't like it but now his hair is a little longer so it looks nice. Hope they come back soon...

Losing guitar picks irritates me. So if you ever don't know what to give me for my birthday then you can give me a box full of them. I'll be very grateful.

There are three guitars in my house. The electric-classical one is my dad's, another classical is my bro's and the acoustic one is mine. My dad's always encouraged me to learn how to play since I was like 10. He likes music too, unfortunately not the same kinda I like but it's ok for me. He wanted my brother and I to form a band, me as singer and guitar player and him as drummer but it was almost impossible to do that.
Playing the guitar is a hobby for me now. I've always said it sets you free 'cause it actually does. I love the sound of the soft strings, it's really relaxing (Remember: I play an acoustic guitar, not an electric one).

She loves Keane.

And she always will.

Talented, friendly, funny, sociable, hard-headed, passionated, full of energy... these three guys are more than just musicians.
They mean a lot to me 'cause their music has always accompanied me in every good or bad moment and it's helped me to get through them.

The End Where I Begin

Y sí. No me iba a quedar sin blog. Tengo tumblr, wordpress, face, twitter... pero ninguno de ellos reemplaza a un blog.
Este no es un 'nuevo comienzo', sino una continuación de mis locuras, flasheadas, pensamientos que revolotean en mi cabeza... Sólo que quise dejar atrás algunas cosas que ahora no tienen mucho sentido.
No me presentaré. Prefiero que, en caso de que lleguen a este blog y no me conozcan, logren sacar una idea de como soy leyéndolo. Y en caso de que sí me conozcan o hayan leído mi anterior blog... como que no hace falta una presentación.

En caso de que aparezca alguna entrada en inglés, no se preocupen, suelo hacerme la inglesa muchas veces.
